The FCA has this morning published Finalised Guidance on financial promotions on social media (FG24/1).
This Guidance replaces the old Guidance on this topic (FG15/4), clarifying their expectations for how financial promotions should be communicated on newer forms of social media, like short-form video and carousel posts, and provided guidance on how recent rule changes, like the Consumer Duty, apply to promotions on social media.
Alongside the Guidance, they’ve published a statement on the feedback they received to the consultation last year (GC23/2).
Members are advised to read the guidance and ensure they remain in line.
